EvilDMT
Just wondering if there is any alternative places to download mandriva, the torrent download is so slow off the website. Any other alternatives?
darren89
how about here..from their main website. http://mirrors.kernel.org/mandrake/Mandrak...ial/iso/2008.1/ that's from a san francisco server. download managers are probably supported. :) but frankly speaking, i'd prefer to download it from torrent sites. it ensures that the media which i've downloaded is fine, especially for large files. EvilDMT
Whats a healthy torrent for mandriva (not livecd) but the 4gig one. Cause the one off the mandriva site is slow.

darren89
hmm....probably the servers are busy or limited bandwidth. okay..i've searched linuxtracker.org and there doesn't seem to have what you wanted. here's the link if you wanna take a look. http://linuxtracker.org/index.php?page=tor...42&active=1 it seems from there only the Spring versions are popular. your best bet may be from the australian mirror as what greenmartian has mentioned. Bizarre, stupid optus connection hmm.......probably you're right, as the other guys' download speed are flying. ISP is throttling your torrent or/and capping your bandwidth? GreenMartian
Maybe they have a deal with MS, and don't want people to use linux? It's a conspiracy :shiftyninja:
