CrimsonRedMk Member Posted October 11, 2008 Member Share Posted October 11, 2008 I'm making the repository which will be availiable on the DVD to install packages from. Right now, it is an internet-based repository which will eventually be copied to the DVD once the distribution is ready. You can browse the repo here: http://shift.itsredegg.com/dvdrepo/ Next, What do I put in it??? KDE of course, but I'd like a list of stuff to put in the repo which won't be on the distro itself. Edit: The apt sources.list line is: deb http://shift.itsredegg.com/dvdrepo hardy main I encourage you to add the line for testing, you can download the "berrymenu" package for example, a menu for Gnome based on mintMenu. Add it using the "Add to Panel" option while right-clicking the Gnome panel.

Brian M. Veteran Posted October 11, 2008 Veteran Share Posted October 11, 2008 Cool - I'll get the installer updated to use the repo tomorrow morning (although when testing it might be an idea to comment it out, as it might add a considerable time to the install time while the repo is still net-based). Brian M. Veteran Posted October 14, 2008 Veteran Share Posted October 14, 2008 Having some issues connecting to the repo from the live environment (tried it last night and was unable to connect). Are there any logs on the server for refused connections etc?
