peregrinus
Hi, I've just installed Sapphire HD 2400 PRO card. After re-booting some of the colours changed in the theme - selected tabs in IE, selected menu items, most of Outlooks background has got this terrible aqua-blue colour that makes my eyes water. Seriously, I can't physicly look into the monitor for more than 2 minutes. Text input fields in on-line forms are gone completely as well (I mean - they are still there all right, but I can't se the frame surrounding text input field, just some more of this blue glow). I had the same problem before, when Windows updated drivers for my motherboard-integrated graphic card. At that time I just used system restore and it was fine. Tried the same trick today - nothing. I also tried different settings in 'window color and appearance' menu - still nothing. Please help, I'm lost and I can't use the computer, my ayes are over-sensitive to some bright colours and I just cannot look at them :(
Alexandre.
Maybe you still have the drivers from your old graphics card installed?
peregrinus
Maybe you still have the drivers from your old graphics card installed? Even if I do, I can't see anything in device manager menu - just the new card...
HawkMan
Set your monitor to a warmer color profile.
peregrinus
Set your monitor to a warmer color profile. I've done that already, played with the contrast and everything to reduce the pain as much as I can, but it still hurts and doesn;t fix the original problem :( Certainly there must be some way to change this colour? zeta_immersion
get an uninstall of the ati/saphire driver and to a complete uninstall of the vid card driver (old and new) , then do a reset of the monitor to fact default, then reinstall the drivers and that might fix the problem, if not try a diff theme
trashpickinman
Double check that the cable connetions at the video card and monitor are tight and screwed down properly. Sounds like a poor connection with a pin.

Sounds like a poor connection with a pin. You're a genius! Connections were fine, however I tried with the othe monitor I've got and everything was fine. I've reseted my primary one to factory settings and it's perfectly fine :) Thanks to HawkMan either - I was sure it can be anything but the monitor and there you go - I was so wrong. Thanks everybody for good will and have a lovely weekend!
