Skulltrail-old
How does the EDIT function work? I often edit my posts when something needs to be fixed (which is quite often) and I can't seem to figure out when the "This post was edited" message pop up after submitting the revised version of the post. Anyone know?
Lee G. Veteran Posted October 20, 2008 Veteran Share Posted October 20, 2008 My understanding is that you have 5 minutes to edit the post without any sort of notification. Then you have an additional 25 minutes (30 minutes total) to edit the post with a system message informing others that the post has been modified. The thread creator can always edit the first post of the thread (there is no time limit on this). The system will also sometimes auto-merge two successive posts by the same member into one combined post if they are posted within relatively quick succession. https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=601869 https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=631352
