ThisSiteHasLostItsCharm
is it possible to convert 32bit styles to 64bit?
Malskazz
Theres no such thing as a x86/x64 msstyle... The only thing is that sometimes the two themes doesnt go with each other so well, but it can always be fixed by editing the files that are 'corrupted'

ThisSiteHasLostItsCharm
could it be because it has a de-DE folder instead of en-US folder in the the theme folder? I tried renaming them to en-US but the style won't load :(

idas
- from what i know there is no problem with the mstyles [if there are 32 or 64 bits mstyles, and forexample they have been made in a 32 bit system], only with the browseui.dll = backward and forward butons, shellstyle.dll, imageres.dll etc you cant use to a different system . but because some updates from microsoft makes some problems with the mstyles , you must see this: open your vista visual style, there will be an en-US folder and perchaps another with the letters of the laguage of your system , a folder named Shell, and the visual style. open each of the 2 first, the en-US folder [and that with the letters of the laguage of your system if that exist] and rename the first word with the name of the visual style you use, for example the aero named aero.msstyles.mui , if for example your style named x then you have to replace with x.msstyles.mui . ---------------------- see my gallery - Edited October 23, 2008 by idas
Malskazz
just replace it with all the aero files you have.

Malskazz
.dll's are different depending on which OS.. the VS there (the dll's) are probably 32bit and you must not use em at all cost, it will **** up your os and might make it impossible for you to logon ect.. Miff
I'm having the same problem with the same theme. http://crystal-coke.deviantart.com/art/Cairo-VS-91552800 I'm not using any of the dlls in that package, I'm just trying to use the msstyle (I've replaced the shell style with another one that worked for me from a different skin), and it still won't work. I've patched my dlls with vistaglazz and then repatched them manually. I opened the theme up with Restorator and had a quick look, but nothing stood out that would cause a problem, not that I really knew what to look for. Can anybody with x64 manage to get this working?
