[Official] Resident Evil 5

Recommended Posts

Completed it on Normal last night, I'm gonna replay a few levels to get 'S' Ratings and to lower my overall completion time to less than five hours to get the infinite rocket launcher and hopefully pick up enough points to upgrade the Strongest Mangum S&W 500 to infinite ammo in the bonus features menu - cost's 20,000 points, I really wish that I hadn't bought every figurine throughtout my first play through as I only have 7,500 points atm!

Then I'm gonna replay it through with a friend on Veteran to unlock it on Professional difficulty. That is unless someone here has already unlocked proffesional and want to invite me to play a level with them so it will unlock for me?

I would probably give this game an 8/10 it is a good game but it certainly has its flaws and for Resident Evil 6 they should re-boot the franchise and put in a real control system because standing still really is no fun.

do it the three month one is great, mind you don't ever expect to the game you want, I find that their priority rating system is crap!

I'm also looking at the GAME service, but it seems LOVEFiLM are more popular for whatever reason.

Steer clear from GAME!!! They use Swapgame as the rental suplier who are awful; I was with them for 4 months!

Ah, I thought they'd let me down as usual.

So if I sign up for a trial with LOVEFiLM, will I automatically be billed once the trial expires? I hear there's a way around the system by continually using the trial codes :shiftyninja:

Sorry for hijacking the thread.

There is by canceling a week before, make sure all discs are returned first and have an empty list so they don't send you any more. Then go to setup an account using a free trial code, use a different email address, put in your REAL post-code apart from the second to last letter for example LL1 5AI - Where 'A' is the letter that you change to X or something, you have to make it an invalid postcode that it can't find so that you manually put your address in, and Voila!

This is only worth doing if you use the 3 month trial codes all the other codes are pretty pointless, just do a search on hotukdeals in the voucher section for the latest lovefilm 3 month trial codes.

^ I'm on the last chapter and I have no idea what Reapers are :p

I'm on 4-2 and have no clue either. I guess I'm too dazzled by the graphics to remember the names. :p

You have no idea yet you have fought them you are on the last chapter. Check your records and you'll see it.

If you are only there, you would not come across them yet!

I've completed the game and I have no idea what reapers are!

Again, check your records and you'll see it.

Does no-one bother to look up the files and records to see info about the game?

Anyhow, I managed to kill them now.

The name is only mentioned in a document you read (if you want) right before you fight the first one. They're the bug dudes with the pulsing blobs on them that you shoot off in order. The annoying arse ones that one shot you if you even look at them.

Anyways, and this seems true for the entire game save maybe the last fight, shotgun > assault rifle. I just keep backing up until their chest opens up, fire a shot...if it doesn't seem to hit right I just continue luring it to a straightaway where I can back up and pop shots off. I have the shotgun out, o course. Once he buckles over run up and repeat on the next two.

I hate those guys.

While I thought the lickers would be sort of freaky just because re2 scared my pants off when I was young...nothing in this game was really that creepy. Heck, I found the dogs to be the most annoying enemy in the game. Nothing that really compared to the iron maidens or the garradars of RE4. I actually found re4 sort of creepy just because of the atmosphere. The foggy mysterious atmosphere and the castle was a good setting. And I actually dreaded going into the sewers with the invisible bugs. Too much shoot the giant orange sphere in 5 heheh.

OK, I remember the bug dudes now. And yeah they're annoying as ****. I like how they kill ya :D

The lickers I know of! I've died by their hands (erm tongues?) many times. :/

walking bugs

ummmm

they're like...bugs...big bugs that rear up on their hind legs. They spray this hazy stuff around them which seems to nullify bullets.

heh, idk how else to describe them.

I don't remember fighting more than a few of them though. So you gotta shoot the glowing bulbs in some order? hah! Explains why I managed to kill some of them so easily and others kept coming at me no matter how many times I shot them. In fact, if I remember correctly, one bugger came at me with no head o_O
