[Official] Resident Evil 5

I hate those reapers... RE5 is a good game, but I agree that it lost its scariness factor (except for the bloody freakin' reapers and their instant kill moves). It was fun right to the end. I liked the cut scenes a lot, which was very well choreographed.

I've unlocked Professional difficulty, so I just need to complete it on that and get an S rating on 5 more chapter parts I think.

What does the S rating stand for? In fact what do they all stand for if someone knows, but I really am curious what the S means...

Playing this on CoOp with massiveterra when we both have the time, and needless to say I think we are the two slowest RE5 players on the entire planet. We are only on 3-3 I think and have been playing easily 6 hours I would say.

Well when I was playing Devil May Cry 4 (my first experience with the series) when I got an S combo, I thought it said "super" some where. I'm not sure if A-D actually have a real meaning other than something like a school grading system; A is normally the best (schools don't give out S's :p), etc.

Don't feel bad Larry, before my friend and I had a hiatus on the campaign we played for maybe 6 hours and are somewhere in chapter 4 I think.

Is it just me or has this game got terrible screen tearing?

Mentioned twice already!

Put your 360 in a resolution of 1280x720 or below. Anything above and it has major screen tearing! It is quite common for Capcom games. I was running RE5 in 1080p but dropped to 720p and the problem was fixed.

anyone knows the fastest way to gain points for the bonus features? need a lot of points to buy unlimited ammos for my guns.

The best way to get EXP points is to either complete chapters or do well in Mercenaries mode to obtain points.

This whole time I thought S stood for "satisfactory" which is what my elementary school did.

Isn't that the old E (Exemplary), S (satisfactory), etc. or am I thinking of something different?

Awesome,

And I need to finish this game, I stopped at like 6-2 or something.

Yeah you need to finish the game to unlock the ability to buy the unlimited ammo cheat.

6-3 is pretty easy anyway

Wow I don't know if that part where you find greasy blonde guy could get anymore frustrating. My friend and I really wanted to get the Heart of Africa and I really think we should of. We damage him a ton (not just when he dodges bullets) and then after about five minutes, our strategies that were damaging him stopped working. He dodged literally EVERYTHING!

I've decided to revoke my previous decision to not buy RE5, as I did enjoy the demo (despite the odd combat controls) and the game seems to be receiving positive reviews :) (plus I am a RE fan as well) I think now knowing it seems to be quite decent, I'm willing to put up with the odd controls :) as the odd controls were the main reason I wasn't going to get it (since I felt it would ruin the game) but seeing the reviews, obviously they don't detract from it too much :) so I'll be picking it up tonight for the 360 :)

Just have one of you distract him and the other-one shoot him from behind/in the back.

I'm about half-way through the game on professional

That is what we did for the first five minutes and then it stopped working after that.

Turn off the lights in each corner of that level, makes it easier from what I have read.

Actually on that very part as well. We gave it one shot then both had to go, probably will finally have the game beat maybe today.
