[Official] Resident Evil 5

I wouldn't mind if there was a Co-Op option separately.

You'd be doomed as many parts require the help of your partner.

But then they could always have your partner spawn instantly in those areas.

This game is awesome. I enjoyed teasing the zombies on my second play through. My bro and I gathered all the zombies from the second level and dragged them to the beginning of the level and had a blastfest.. the chainsaw dude can't climb over windows so we played around with him. He'll come to the window and turn around and back out of the building and then we'd climb over and chase him lol.

Yeah I know there is, to pull you up a ledge or take care of a puzzle than needs to things done simultaneously, blah blah.

The game's made the way it is, my argument is that of I wish the game HAD been made as a SP experience, with Co-Op intertwined like other games manage to do it (maybe even just simple things like many more zombies about during Co-Op).

Or just a separate Co-Op campaign.

Not sure if posted but here it goes -

Resident Evil 5 Limited Edition Contents and European Release Confirmed

Capcom today confirmed that a Limited Edition version of the forthcoming Resident Evil 5 will be available across PAL territories when the game releases on Friday March 13th, 2009.

Packaged in a steelbook case the Limited Edition features a bonus DVD containing exclusive behind the scenes footage on the making of this latest entry in the Resident Evil series and the full length trailer for CG movie Resident Evil Degeneration. See below for the image of the packaging and contents.

We have been informed there is a delay with the Xbox360 artwork, however rest assured the Limited Edition will be available on both systems simultaneously upon release in Europe. We will bring you the Xbox360 image as soon as we receive it.

One of the worst CE's in quite a while, probably as bad as Devil May Cry 4's.

Are we really supposed to get excited over a trailer for a movie that's already out, and will have been for like 5 months, by the time the game launches? GTFO Capcom.

Pass.

There is no way I am paying 90 bucks for that. They are out of their damn minds.

lol

They must be. Why would I pay extra money for a steelbook case, some behind the scenes footage and a trailer for a film I already have on BD?!

No, trust me, you're going to want to try the demo for this.

If it didn't include Co-Op and another character you could shuffle it under "RE following tried and tested formula therefore it should be as good as if not better than previous".

However I really dislike having another character tagging along during SINGLE PLAY.

I wouldn't mind if there was a Co-Op option separately.

Wesker is in the game - I'm sold already. I'm in it for the storyline as much as anything else at this point. Edited by Michael1406

i have a 360 and a PS3, kind of interested in this, dont want to start a flame war, but what are there differences between the 2, as so far they seem identical in every way

havent played the demo yet, so no idea what final opinion of it will be

There isn't any differences between versions from a feature stand point, but like Michael said you'll need to wait for reviews to hear how they compare performance wise.

Lots of RE5 news coming in!

OPM gives Resident Evil 5 5/5, review scanned

The US OPM?s given Resident Evil 5 top marks in its review, as you can see in these scans.

The text?s a little small on those images, but not so much that you can?t see the glow. There are negatives, however.

?If there?s any quibbling to be done about Resident Evil 5, it?s that much of the game content and scenarios are derivative. You?ll recognise ?influence? from Matrix, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Metal Gear, Tomb Raider and probably every monster-related vehicle ever made, but it?s the way that RE5 reinterprets, reconstitutes, and just plain reuses them that distinguishes the game.?

Capcom with the 5GB install still?

That's all sorts of fail if true (N) [still says "rumour"]

Really, most other big named developers are doing fine now...

The number of people searching for "kijuju" just went up methinks. :)

a 5GB install is hardly a problem for newer PS3 owners, they'll have 80/160GB.

We keep getting 5gb installs because it seems Capcom keep using the same engine for its games, which obviously doesn't have the Ps3 in mind since we have to install nearly all of the game each time.
