Are you running at 800 x 600 ?

Question

Are you running at a 800 x 600 screensize ?

I am building a personal website and was interested to see how many people still view at this screensize, I personally view at 1024 x 768.

My new site will be viewable at all screensizes but I was just interested to see how many people still use the 800 x 600 screensize.

Kind regards

Anyway i mostly use 800x600 because of the 100hz refresh rate that can't be achieved in a higher resolution by my monitor which is about 3+ years old.

Thanks for the response Guys and Gals, It looks like most user's are above 800 x 600, hopefully 800 x 600 will soon go the same way as 640 x 480 !

My site will fit at 800 x 600 but looks alot better at 1024 x 768 and above.

Thanks for the great response and those stats kev64 were very usefull.

I was using 800*600 up till about two months ago until I replaced my 14" with a 17".

I still make sites fit 800*600 though, it's just good form.

Dual Monitor Desktop

2560 x 1024

Laptop

1024 x 768

PocketPC

320 x 240

Don't forget the PDA users! I wish more websites would design content for handheld size screens.

Thanks for bringing that up.. I use a PocketPC too.. 320 x 240

My desktop is 1600x1200

1600x1200 pretty hard to do graphics and sites with something lower..

i checked my stats of my site, most people run 1024x768. thats also the resolution i make my pages at.. its standard right now

although, i've tried 800x600 before, and everything was smoother, it was cool for a while, until my eyes got tired of the big, bulky letters.

You bet, it is good form to make pages in that resolution.

I'm on my forth monitor and I always buy 15 inch, becuz I think it's stupid having something so big a foot or 2 in front of your face.

Eventually I will be forced to get one bigger, but I am not happy about the idea, as I use my comp for computing, not gaming or watching movies.
