Once Upon A Time In America.

Seriously?

The most intelligent movie you've ever seen is about a guy named 'Noodles'?

:p

I'd probably have to say Adaptation.

[edit]or Unforgiven

Does it have to be a typical movie per say? Can it be a SHORT Film?

There are two I must say.

Both by Jim Henson

Timepiece and The CUBE(saw this last year at a special muppets presentationI got to meat jim hensons wife).

I can't believe no one mentioned 2001 yet. :D

Does a hodge-podge of fantasticly beautiful images and monkey suits really count as intelligent?

Nevermind Action. Nevermind Special Effect.

To me it does. 2001 was one of the deepest movies I've ever seen, especially if you've read the novel as well.

A Beautiful Mind I must chime in for as well.

I'd have to say:

A Clockwork Orange

Eraserhead

Lost Highway

Can't believe none of those were mentioned yet.
