.tony
800x600. :p Graphics card is integrated so even old games like Halo:CE, CoD, etc need low resolutions.

Ci7
i am gaming @ my lcd native 1650X1050 samsung 206bw samsung is the best monitor maker imo 1280x1024 on a 19inch Dell which causes me to get laughed at by most people because I don't have a ridculously large and unnecessary display for myself (oh well). I play on that or my Samsung 32A550 in 1080p (1900x1080). oh man LCD look best at native res. sadly a 280 @ 1280X1024 would be kind of errm waste  1680x1050 (native) or 1920x1080 (native). you got dual monitors ?? or maybe a laptop lcd?? carious
capr
1680x1050 i like having room on the screen. don't want the character to be most of the screen, i rather have him be small and have everything else be visible.

+Mystic MVC Posted October 31, 2008 MVC Share Posted October 31, 2008 oh man LCD look best at native res. sadly a 280 @ 1280X1024 would be kind of errm waste  you got dual monitors ?? or maybe a laptop lcd?? carious Did you not read the rest of my post? Most of the time I hook my PC up to my Samsung 32A550 1080P display and play my games in 1900x1080. I also bought the GTX 280 because I am in college and wanted to try to make my rig last as long as possible.

rajputwarrior
1440x900 here. not too shabby... that's what i use, i have no reason to go any higher. The graphics don't look any better to be at 1680x1050 which is the native resolution of my monitor. Everything looks amazing and it runs greats at the res and pretty much any game i can pump the graphics right up still :) i'm glad that my 8800gt is still going strong. samsung 206bwsamsung is the best monitor maker imo and i agree with you, my 226bw rocks. Osiris
Yeh, just side to side :p LOL I got a good laugh from that :p although playing UT3 this morning in order to keep max settings I had to go back to 1920 but this sucker scales things pretty darn well so its all good. wst50
Varies by game. Since I'm stuck with internal graphics with this computer (the PCIe slot fries graphics cards - it's killed 2 in 3 years, for no reason...), I go with what gives me playable framerates. Flightgear - 800*600 Tribes - 1024*768 GTA San Andreas - 1024*768 Back when I had a graphics card (albeit crappy - a 6200 SE and then a Radeon X550!), I rolled 1280*1024 (native 17 inch)
