Sikh
I'm with you, I could play max settings but I usually go with 1024x768, especially for FPS Same here. My 8600 GTS automatically puts each game i install in native res but i bump it down. Still looks nice and doesnt kill my computer or heat up graphic card. Cosmin
how can you all play in windows-mode ? I wish I'll play in windows mode (1024x768) on my native monitor resolution (1680x1050).

way2quik
native 1400x900. Any lower and I'll go crazy. I run WC3 one setting lower of the 900, because there isn't 1400x900.

Mordkanin
Generally 1440x900. Stupid laptop. New computer with an HD 4870 this week, so I'll be back to 1920x1200 all the time!
+InsaneNutter MVC Posted November 24, 2008 MVC Share Posted November 24, 2008 1680x1050 if the game supports it. My 8800GT can manage most games on high detail :)
RPDL
1680 x 1050you are right with the GPU from my signature! Woah, with a Radeon 2600PRO? Impressive, although I'm curious which games you play and if the framerate is good. I have the same Video Card (with a Pentium D at 3.2ghz) and I usually play on 1024x768 with 4xAA at max graphics (my most modern games would be Bioshock, Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3). +Majesticmerc MVC Posted December 25, 2008 MVC Share Posted December 25, 2008 1680 x 1050. I run a 22" monitor, and that's its native resolution, so I use that. That is provided that the game is playable at that resolution, but I haven't come across a game I couldn't play at that resolution without making it look crap. Slammers
Only gaming on a laptop which sux, Radeon HD 2600 which is better than nothing, but I can't get above 1280x1024 in newer games. On a HPw1907 with native res of 1440x900
Smigit
1900x1200. If the game is a bit spec heavy but I sometimes drop back to 1680x1050
Mouldy Punk
1680x1050 for everything because that's the native resolution of my new monitor. On my old CRT, I just messed with the settings until I got a balance between eye-candy and performance that I was happy with. Now I use 1680x1050 regardless of performance. Unfortunately, a couple of games I have suffer a couple of FPS drops at that resolution. They're still playable, but it can get a bit annoying. I'm getting a more powerful graphics card soon anyway, so I won't have to put up for long.

Sil3nt
I usually play in 1400x900 (native resolution) but if its a graphic intensive game I play it at 1024x768
