howarang15
Hey guys Looking at how people customized their desktop a lot seem to have some sort of dock. They look cool so i was checking them out and there are a few choices. i was wondering which you consider is the best. The ones i found were rocketdock, objectdock (free unless someone can convince me to go plus), and rk launcher. I use vista 64, cpu q6600 stock and ram 8gb so resource hungry not an issue. Sorry if this has been discussed before.
Kami-
Personally I use RocketDock, the one provided by ObjectDock is more aesthetically pleasing, however i just wanted something lightweight.

IceBreakerG
I use RocketDock on my laptop (Vista x86) and Desktop (Vista x64), and it runs very well on both.
SaRCaSTiCHuM0r
Going to have to give a +1 to RocketDock! I love that program, plus the small footprint it uses is excellent.

C++
I don't use a dock on a regular basis but I like ObjectDock more. Rocket Dock doesn't seem to render icons as sharply.
IceBreakerG
I don't use a dock on a regular basis but I like ObjectDock more. Rocket Dock doesn't seem to render icons as sharply. I think in Vista, if the icons are vector based, they will scale pretty well compared to some of the older style icons. Most of my icons look very clean in RocketDock. howarang15
Hey it seems rocketdock is wat the majority seems to be using. I was wondering if both can be installed so that i can see which i like better, or is it like having 2 antivirus programs which will keep clashing. i_was_here
You can install two docks. But if you run them simultaneously, make sure theyre in different positions :p Oh and: another +1 for RocketDock.

phot0nic
I'll add a vote for ObjectDock. The zoom effects look much nicer and there is so much that you can customize. Plus, it's stable, fast, and lightweight.
shakey_snake
Why not just use the quicklaunch toolbar? You can drag it off the taskbar and dock it onto is own side of the window and set it to autohide if you really want to.
