I'm redesigning one of my web sites right now, and I want to make my news editor a little easier to use. I want to use bold/italic/underline, etc., buttons like Neowin/IPB has, where you click on the B, it adds [ b ] to a certain form field, and the button itself adds a * to its label. I also want to know how to do the pop-ups like the URL button does.
I'm not all that good with Javascript...never could get the hang of it. I could edit some code fine if I could get the base, but I can't write the whole thing myself. I've hunted around at a few websites I normally look at for Javascript, but couldn't find anything. If anyone could help me to do this, or point me to a free script that I could modify for my own uses, I would greatly appreciate it.
