Brandon
It ruined me playing my 360 for about 5 months. Not that there was anything wrong with the game exactly, but I felt I put 15 hours or so into it, and didn't get much out of it and felt that I was just randomly wondering around. At least oblivion there was a compass and it was easy to figure out what the hell to do. After playing it, I lost interest in my 360, almost thought of selling it. I had CoD4, but I tend to get bored with point and shooters after awhile. Had a friend loan me Vegas 2... damn. Finally, a shooter where it actually takes some skill and actual strategy to beat. Went over to a friends house who hat GTA and Fable II. Damn. I have more games I have to get!! In a nutshell. Mass Effect was like Morrowind to me. Interesting game, but without a solid system to remind dumb users (like me) who play once a week what the hell was going on, it kinda gets old... fast
DELTETHISACCOUNT
Yeah, I sold my copy. Didn't feel worth it after playing for about 15 hours.
Minifig
I was extremely disappointed by it when I rented it.
Mordkanin
I played it on the PC, but I thought it was one of the best games I've played in a while. Great story, good game mechanics...
cpu killer
I didn't particularly feel strongly about Mass Effect, but I did love Morrowind. It had one of the best storylines I've ever seen in the game and really got you involved.

FOr all I know, the game might actually have been great, its just I think it was meant to be beaten in a shorter amount of time. Here I am, after 2 years of owning Oblivion, I can come back and pick up and actually do something. Even though I haven't played it in awhile due to the directional system. I just felt there wasn't enough interaction with Mass Effect
Melfster
I also played it on the PC and really enjoyed it. Perhaps it plays better on the pc then the 360. Can't wait for the next one
Dotdot
I would suggest if your a casual gamer that maybe these kind of games might not be the best use of your time/money, as if you feel its a question of being able to devote enuff time to keep the long intricate storys fresh in your mind then Id just go with shorter offerings. Si_
I officially think Mass Effect Sucks And Mass Effect thinks you suck, too :p Seriously, it's not the huge open world sandboxer some people made it out to be like oblivion. It's hugely story based, so if you only play once a week, play the story and ignore the meaningless side quests (which are more designed for those who play through quickly and want more hours out of the game). It's not rocket science.
Minimoose
Yeah I completed it in 2 days (not sure how many hours, probably quite a few), it was in my summer holidays so I had tonnes of free time. I really enjoyed it and I thought it was very good at telling you where to go
capr
i also played it on the PC and really liked it, the sterategy that you "could" use with your henchies and get missions done was a lot of fun.... it wasn't nearly as open ended as oblivion, but it was still very good. i enjoyed the story and the game play a lot. there was a "little" bit of a learning curve but not that much, you just had to pay attention and follow the linear missions... bobbytomorow
I also completed it on PC and enjoyed it. Not a masterpiece by any means but a very solid game. Its certainly a game you need to commit to somewhat. I couldn't imagine just playing it in short bursts over a long period of time that would definitely kill its momentum. Noveed
clocked it twice when it first came out, wanted to go for a third time but its one of those games that you cant go back to once you have played it once or twice after a long time. Um, what? Playing a game made you want to sell your 360? I enjoyed ME, I like action RPGs, but it had areas for improvement.

Yeah if you had ditched your 360 for a Wii you'd have regretted that, especially with the Wii's holiday lineup.

Cheshire Cat
I quite liked it myself... The Tank-car thing was a total pain in the rear and the levels were insanely mountainous for the most part and for some reason all had the same gravity, but the story was rather fun, if quite generic and I found the combat reasonably entertaining although I only played as the pure combat class, soldier.
