Calum Veteran Posted November 8, 2008 Author Veteran Share Posted November 8, 2008 I think it is actually. Not 100% sure though. Even if it is, it doesn't have to be :)
HawkMan
Just give him MVC. I don't see his contribtuion really warranting mvc, mvc provide valuable contributiuons in the form of assistance or hot tech news or insider information. Random post spammign of random news events you could get with a google news setup... that's not it. it's spam and a few members thinks it's awesome he's helpign to fill up the tech forum with the stuff, but not really mvc. as I said he needs his own web siote not a forum. of course there's allready a ton of news services that do what he does, like google news. ToneKnee
I agree that Hum should be rewarded for his contribution. People who contribute a big deal should be treated specially. No good-deed should go unrewarded. As a fello' Neowin member, I welcome this idea.

If you ask me I'd rather he "spams" something I and others find useful and entertaining to read than to sit through some painful election-related babble in RWI or an argument like this. Ci7
hmmmmYou guys do releaserealize that Hum is just an AI Bot created by Neobond and Sir Trevor McDonald don't you?? Don't let his advanced AI programming fool you into thinking he's a real person. never notice that  he is a sp3m bot !
Berserk87
While hum contributes TONS and TONS to this forum, mvc was made for people who the staff thought were the most helpful.
roadgeek9
No, I just believe that a member should not have a custom badge. Or have the Dev's design one for all of us. Yes that's the ticket 216,000+ custom badges. :woot: I think the average Neowinian has the power to work with a Photoshop template. :fro:

BoJo
time consuming? yes, worth it? nolook at the current MVCs, specifically budman, he'll read a topic and always write a decent answer with things the OP needs to think about and if they want help about a program he'll produce screenshots that are relevant etc. "Hum"'s postings on the other hand don't help anyone and can be found anywhere I agree. Copying and pasting news from other sites (while it does contribute to the forum) isn't on the same level as Budman/gwai lo/chconline (he drew me a graph!) who actually give carefully thought out and considered responses to individual problems. Those MVCs are in no particular order, they are just ones who've gone out of their way to help me in the past.

Antaris Veteran Posted November 9, 2008 Veteran Share Posted November 9, 2008 ^ Not odd, he probably doesn't want to get involved in this sort of discussion. It would only add fuel to the potentially wrong fire!
