Calum Veteran Posted November 8, 2008 Veteran Share Posted November 8, 2008 I've noticed that some people on the forums have some fields in thier profiles which I don't have. E.g. Audioboxer has 'Name' and has been able to input his real name & have it show up in his profile & next to his posts & Gary7 has the same with his web browser. I'd like this too (preferebly for my name, but it would be handy to be able to put my browser there & even my operating system). Does anybody know how I can do this please? I can't find it anywhere in My Controls :/ I've also seen other members with their browser there.
The_Decryptor Veteran Posted November 8, 2008 Veteran Share Posted November 8, 2008 See where it says "From:", Type something longer in there.
Calum Veteran Posted November 8, 2008 Author Veteran Share Posted November 8, 2008 Thanks :) It doesn't seem to work too well though :/ I've used
and
tags & also tried extra spaces & it doesn't seem to put it on the next line. How have you done yours with "Likes: Cookies"? :D
+Gary7 Subscriber² Posted November 8, 2008 Subscriber² Share Posted November 8, 2008 In your profile under location type in something like below: With the spaces! The United States Browser: Firefox 3.
Calum Veteran Posted November 8, 2008 Author Veteran Share Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) EDIT: Thanks Gary7 & The_Decryptor :) I understand now why it wasn't working & why it doesn't recognise spaces. Ah well, at least I got my name in there :) Would any of the developers consider allowing us to have more characters in the Location, so we can add more things please? Joel
Why not just the name field for your name? Makes more sense than using the location field.
Calum Veteran Posted November 8, 2008 Author Veteran Share Posted November 8, 2008 I don't have the name field in my control panel. Please may you point me to it? Unless you mean the display name? It won't let me change my display name at the moment for a reason you will know ;) Also, I'm not sure I would like my display name as that, just a field in my profile for my real name.
