Lechio
Packaging now fixed, sorry for messing it up in the first place. Remove previous package by typing: sudo dpkg -r magnifier Re-download the file attached and install it again by proceeding the same way as done in the previous install. Regards. magnifier.zip
tym
Consider this problem Solved. Nice job and props to you guys for the help and patience with this noobie to linux. I got this bad boy backed up and if i need to reload ubuntu its one of the first programs to go back on. Is there a way to put this in the start up folder of ubuntu? The reason I ask, I THINK that is the only way you can configure a shortcut key to open. Think on windows I used ctrl+alt+z. If not thats just fine. I have driven you guys nuts long enough. Have a nice day. Edited November 11, 2008 by tym
Lechio
Is there a way to put this in the start up folder of ubuntu? Sure there is. In the menu at the top of the screen choose: System > Preferences > Sessions A dialog will appear. In the Startup Programs tab press the +Add button, then type: Name: magnifier Command: /usr/bin/vmg Comment: Screen magnifier done _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Also checkout the options included with GNOME in the menu at the top of the screen choose: System > Preferences > Universal Access It's also possible to create a shortcut on desktop like it is described in a previous post. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ No worries, we are here to help. Just feel free to ask any time you need, regards.

Lechio
Cool Once again thanks for the help. Now how do I get the kids to keep there room picked up. :) You are welcome. Regarding your question, I believe some people are working on a robot powered by Debian for those kinds of tasks (still in development). Till then please motivate kids to complete the task by saying something in the lines of "kids pick up the room or no video games for a week!". That should be able to resolve the issue. Regards.
