So many games so little time

Recommended Posts

OK so I got my new build done. It seems like a ton of good games have hit the market.

Help me pick

Oblivion

Fallout3

Left 4 dead

Crysis + Expansion

COD world at war

Bioshock

Farcry 2

Pick 3 or add 1 or 2 but not the HL2 series

not into mmo

I haven't tried any of them except for Bioshock (on the 360) and I just started playing CoD:WaW.

I highly reccomend NOT getting Bioshock. Just my personal taste but that game is terrible.

CoD is good as always.

I'd pick:

Fallout 3

Left 4 Dead

Bioshock

I think CoD W@W SP is f-ing awful. I'd avoid it or you'll be killing small woodland creatures out of frustration by the end of the week.

Left4Dead to have some fun when your bored shooting down zombies!

COD again if you like Counter strike or a fan of FPS then this is the game for you

Fallout 3 if you like going around moving questing exploring don't miss this :)

It's correct that everyone has their own favourite but just check the ratings online or go through the trailers and watch gameplay videos on youtube and you'll find your best hit :D

Depends on what kind of games you enjoy. I like my RPGs and shooters.

From your list I'd have to say Fallout 3, Oblivion and bioshock. Im kindof biased towards TES series since I played Daggerfell back in the day.

Also you might want to look into Morrowind. Just grab the important texture mods and use the graphics extender to add HDR, distant land (removes fog), water detail, etc. I recently discovered all the new tools and mods for and it looks fantastic, as though its a new game. Morrowind has aged very well. It doesn't look near as good as Oblivion/F3, but it looks remarkably better then it did originally and its worth it for all the stuff it has compared to Oblivion. .

Fallout 3 is my personal fav of your list though. If you start now you'll probably finish it around the time the first or second DLC comes out.

Fallout 3, L4D and one other.

Fallout 3 over Oblivion because A) Your other games are FPS so I assume it's a genre you like and B) I like it more than Oblivion. I feel like theres more ways to do many of the quest and that character progression is more meaningful. Probably won't be as long a game, but I'm finding it more compelling to do stuff in Fallout.

L4D...I've only played it quickly twice but it seems to me that it'll be alot of fun. I also trust Valve will add a fair bit of content down the track.

I'd go for Bioshock and then Oblivion with some of the better textures/graphics mods and the expansion...

By the time you've done those 2, there will be a bunch of mods and stuff out for Fallout 3

Thanks for all the suggestions, I have been going with what I can afford Bioshock for 20$, crysis for 20$ and just splurged and picked up L4D. They all look awesome on my 42'' lcd, I swear if you try one you'll never want to go back to a normal 19-24 inch monitor again.

I do read reviews but sometimes feel some review sites just give every big game good reviews so you'll buy them all. That's why I dropped my PC Gamer subscription.I trust my fellow gamers more.

One that surprises me is COD 5 seems it's either love or hate.

Personally I go for the short games first, all the shooters can be finished quickly (the signle player mode obviously) especially COD.

Save Oblivion and the other RPGs for last as they will take the longest to finish
