giga Veteran Posted November 19, 2008 Veteran Share Posted November 19, 2008 Bowtie is a free application that allows you to control iTunes with shortcuts, submits your songs to Last.fm, and sports a very simple, yet very powerful, xhtml + css + javascript based theming system. Download: http://bowtieapp.com/ What a clean and simple, yet functional app. This has replaced CoverSutra for me since I didn't use the search feature. richardsim7
The app in itself is good, but it takes up room in the dock, I'd rather it run in the background like Sizzlekeys :) -Rich-

Is there anyway I can make it start when I open iTunes?

Quillz
Bowtie is awesome. It's replaced CoverSutra on my machine. The amount of themes being generated for this is astounding. Every thread on MacThemes is another Bowtie theme. The only thing it's missing is a volume slider, but I'm sure Beta 2 will add this.
JAbad28
So you guys are saying that it takes room on the dock and no way of making it dissapear while its on?! Grr.. I was really looking forward to this, lol.

Matt Patenaude
Don't worry all, menu bar and Dock options are available in beta 2, which should be out within a month. :)
Steve
Matt, if you have the ability to provide input, can you ask about locking the widgets position on the screen? I often click the artwork, to get the popup, allowing me to provide a rating for the current song - almost always it gets moved slightly, which is a little annoying. Cheers.
