Vista Visual Style Display Name

Recommended Posts

How can I change the display name of a visual style? I mean the one that is usually "Aero Style" or "Basic style" in the Advanced Appearance dialog. I read that if you change the "A e r o" value in the RMAP file, it will change it to the "Default" string in the Shellstyle.dll. This does not work for me, it just comes up as "" in the dialog. It has been done, as shown in the attachment.

Google for DeskHack - it automatically renames them to the filename, I believe.

It's worked for me, but I've only used 1 VS on this machine :)
