Out of curiosity, anyone heard how large the file is going to be?

I'm hoping to get this pretty soon after it comes out. I'm gonna have a busy week though, and I'm still trying to figure some things out financially...trying not to be completely broke-ass when I graduate in May

Rockstar: We’ve made a full game in The Lost and Damned

By Patrick Garratt

Rockstar dev boss Jeronimo Barrera has confirmed that GTA IV DLC The Lost and Damned - releasing tomorrow - is at the limit of Live’s file-size restriction, and should be considered a full game.

“There’s nothing ever been out like it,” Barrera told Major Nelson in the first section of a two-part audio interview.

“We’ve done a full game in my opinion, in terms of the production quality and the new gameplay mechanics.

“We’ve literally reached the maximum memory size that we can do for DLC with Microsoft.

“You’re going to get a lot of game.”

Barrera, however, refused to put a play-time estimate on the content, saying only that players can expect “hours and hours and hours” of bang for their buck.

The exec also took the opportunity to snipe at other premium DLC, saying Rockstar had pushed the concept further than anything else yet available.

“That’s not to say there hasn’t been good downloadable content: obviously, there has been, but I find a lot of the time the stuff you can download to be more of an appendage to a game in terms of, you know, a new area opens up, or you can travel to another island, or something like that,” he said.

“You know, it’s cool, and it keep fans coming back, but [there's] nothing that’s crossed story arcs and that’s what we’re trying to do, to push this, to deliver… a new experience, and I think we’ve hit it right out of the ballpark.”

The full thing’s through the link. Well worth a listen.

Hello Microsoft, the PC version is branded under Live. We deserve the DLC as much as the 360 gamers.

Well that's up to Rockstar to decide. Considering how much GTA IV was pirated, I'd be surprised if Rockstar bothers to support the PC version with anything beyond the odd patch to fix bugs.

To be honest, if it is 2GB in size i would beleive thats because they have overhauled the physics of driving vehicles.

The control was terrible, especially on bikes...and to have DLC based on bikes in the state it was in is just ludicrous.

Plus i recon the rest will just be audio because they will be using assets already in the game.

is it safe to assume it will be 1600 points? ( guessing thats what 20 bucks converts to )

if so i need to make a trip and get more points, im down to little over 1300

There's going to be quite a bit of new textures, music, mini-games, weapons, sound effects and so on. Technical changes (tweaking controls) would not be so large in size.

It's going to be tough going from crystal clear graphics, 50FPS average, huge view / draw distances and keyboard + mouse back to the crappy looking, 25 FPS average, blurry console crap version again.

We definitely need this for the PC version ...

Is it live yet? It was supposed to go live at 08:00 but I'm at work now so I can't check, if someone can let me know I can get my mum/dad/sister to grab it for me as they are all at home today. That way I can play it as soon as I get home!

Everything on my dashboard is lagging like hell!

When it actually loads, I click on the lost and the damned icon but it says the feature is temporarily unavailable
