XBL down?

Is anyone having trouble connecting to Live? I don't believe there is a planned outage, but I can't connect. I hope I am not alone here...

yeah, i am too..it signs in every now and then but its all weird...avatars dont show up and everyone is silver account...and xbox.com wont load up either...

I am Baffled why everybody continues to pay $50/year for this...

Seriously, there should be a Revolt against MS that demand them to get XBL running without downtime like this, or lower the price to like $25/year!

Yes, we demand 100% uptime which is pretty much impossible with a service like this, the current 98-99% is just not good enough, damn you Microsoft!

It just came back up... but just went down again, too.

Quit on me right as I won a Gears of War 2 game, and now I don't get the stats :angry: :laugh:

Gears of War 2 was acting weird, though. Voice communication wasn't working and I'd get games where it'd be 5 on 2 or some odd combination.

$4/month is not a big deal. I easily get that much entertainment each month, it IS worth it.

@ sciguy007: They're having problems. It's up for some, down for others. Mine was on for a bit again then went off.

gotcha. well at least it hasn't affected my netflix streaming (yet).

Seems like I am fine now, but other people aren't. The XBL status page wasn't updated yet when I checked earlier.

Another note, I have to say I am impressed by how many people come here to check XBL status, lol.

Well, not to sound rude, but when you pay for a service like this you generally expect it to be error free. I don't think it's a hugely horrible thing to request, but maybe not the most practical thing in the world.

Now back to Gears of War 2 in a few minutes for me :D

It was just utterly frustrating as I try to buy the games on sale (Even that's not really much of a deal TBH look at Amazon they take 50-70% OFF) XBL is down.

Is anyone else having problems using voice chat online (as in in-game)? I can't utilize it at all. It started right before XBL went down (literally minutes) and other people in the game were having that same problem, too, so we had to start a party to communicate.

If we're looking at a 10-15 minute downtime, I don't think griping or complaining is entirely warranted, even if you're paying for it. Sure it sucks, but it's not like it's an outage that has lasted hours or days.
