Ayepecks
I'm pretty sure the downtime was more like an hour for most. Still nothing to complain about, but when you pay for a service you expect it to work.
Rookas
Still nothing to complain about, but when you pay for a service you expect it to work. Depends on what you do for a living. I'm in systems management, I expect huge networks like Live to be down a lot more often than it is. I think microsoft is doing a good job managing such an enormous service with millions of end users, now if only our service providers were so reliable... Tell that to the MMO players who pay 15 dollars ha month, have hour long daily downtimes, and usually12-14 hour long downtimes every month at least... or in some cases have to queue to get on their servers... This is what The second downtime in a year, the last one being after last x-mas. I think I'll forgive them for that since I get WAY more than 50$ worth of entertainment ayear out of it. Hardly have downtime!!! Microsoft makes Billions Billions of $$$ from Millions of users, they have Money, to make it better! So while I don't expect a less rich company to be better. MS to me, is fully capable and, they just Greedy the top MS execs take ALL those money home instead of putting it to better use.

nomis_nehc
Yeah, actually I work for an IT company that deals with network infrastructure as well. And I am impressed with Live actually. Their reliability, while not 100%, is more than acceptable for a service that powers so many.
LOC Veteran Posted December 2, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 2, 2008 I didn't want to start a new thread about this, since I'm not sure if it's just me, or a Live wide type thing. But is anyone having trouble with Netflix right now? I keep getting the error "the netflix service is temp. unavailable" over and over for hours now. LOC Veteran Posted December 2, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 2, 2008 Hmmm, not sure what's going on with Netflix. But I had to re-authorize my account again to get streaming working. I guess I should report it...or something.
