Defiantly
Either Tomb Raider. Lenged or the new Underground. Both are great and ...er.... nice to look at. ;-)
PiracyX
Any of the Tomb Raider's are similar and probably better since Uncharted is basically a clone of it.

+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted December 3, 2008 Subscriber² Share Posted December 3, 2008 It's all very well recommending Tomb Raider, but if it were the shooting/story aspect he liked, Tomb Raider absolutely sucks ass for shooting, and the story line's are weak as hell with non-memorable characters. If it's shooting, stick to 3rd person shooters on the 360, most popular being the GoW series.
webcivilian
Any of the Tomb Raider's are similar and probably better since Uncharted is basically a clone of it. Yeah PiracyX its a clone. Everything on the PS3 is a clone right? Well get Clone wars.
jelli
Yeah PiracyX its a clone. Everything on the PS3 is a clone right? Well get Clone wars. Not everything is a fight between the 360 and PS3... Oh wait a sec, they both have a 3 in! Zomg clones! My guess is he was referring to the similar style of play / genre styling.
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted December 3, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 3, 2008 Yeah PiracyX its a clone. Everything on the PS3 is a clone right? Well get Clone wars. Well it is a clone isn't it, it's not an original idea. Its Tomb Raider with a male character at the end of the day. Both of them have their strengths, but there is no denying Uncharted is a clone of TR. By that of course I mean gameplay wise, not the story etc.

By that of course I mean gameplay wise, not the story etc. How is it a clone of the game play when Uncharted is primarily a 3rd person shooter, and Tomb Raider a platformer? I actually wonder if some of you have played through the retail release of Uncharted, or just make assumptions due to image. The new Tomb Raider must be about 15-20% shooting, and Uncharted is like 80-90% shooting. Uncharted has a shooting/cover system, Tomb Raider does not. DrunknMunky Veteran Posted December 3, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 3, 2008 C'mon AB, use some brains. TR1 had shooting in it, it's a third person game. There is very few differences, minus a cover system. If you're seriously telling me Uncharted is 100% original then wow, just wow.. Just about every review I've read and watched even compares it to TR, there is no denying it dude.

I challenged your comment of it being a clone, a clone being something that is pretty much 1:1. Nowhere did I say it was 100% original, it's far from that. However comparing the shooting system, or even trying to say the shooting in Uncharted/Tomb Raider is a clone of each other is just silly talk. The games are played through very different from each other, which is all I'm trying to point out when people just willy nilly say Uncharted = Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider is a very passive experience that focusses more on platforming/puzzling with limited shooting and average story telling. Uncharted is an action based experience focusing first on shooting, then story telling with limited puzzles/platforming.
Kushan
Oh quit the arguing and let the OP decide if he's interested or not. He didn't specify what exactly he was after, just something similar to DF. Similar in what way, though? If he wants running around a forest shooting at things, even Far Cry would do, but if he wants duck/cover action, then Gears is the obvious choice. If he wants exploration and such, Tomb Raider works. He asked for suggestions, not a debate.
FlibbyFlobby
Gears of War is probably the most similar thing to Uncharted on the 360. They're both 3rd person cover based shooter with not too much focus on puzzles. I think that ticks all the required boxes.
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted December 3, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 3, 2008 I said both of them have strengths over one another. i.e TR has the puzzles and platforming done very well and Uncharted doesn't. Uncharted has the shooting where TR has always lacked. A cover system does not set them worlds apart either way, if anything I can stand behind a wall instead of pushing my back up against it in TR, its pretty much the same thing at the end of the day. Further more, I don't even have any complaints with TRU's shooting. I hold a button to lock onto someone and thats what it does. What's the problem? Its hardly broken. As for story lines, they are both pretty dull, they are both centred around a treasure hunt at the end of the day, both started out by their fathers..
