bangbang023 Veteran Posted December 5, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 5, 2008 I've never heard of the group, but Project Blackjack is, apparently, a very popular drifting group on Forza 2 and they've compiled a video and posted it on youtube in 720p beauty. One thing that struck me, regardless of the fact that I'm not a big drifting fan nor have I played the game in a long time, is how beautiful it still looks and how it can definitely hold it's own against Sony's behemoth. CY:G
That is beautiful, i wonder if that can be done with the Xbox 360 Wheel, i can barely win events with it hahah.
RadishTM Veteran Posted December 5, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 5, 2008 Very well done, loved seeing disc brakes lighting up all over the place. Radish?

Mathachew Veteran Posted December 5, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 5, 2008 Goodness... there's no way I could even get close to doing that. Once my car started spinning one way, it's next to impossible for me to go the other. Clearly, I am out matched :|

Sethos
Whoa, impressive (Y) Makes you wanna put in the game and do a few drift laps ... but deep down inside I know I will be cutting more grass than actually driving.

The Teej
Ah man, I wanna know how to drive like that :( They probably use the uber 360 driving wheel setup, though :p
Razorwing
I really need to find that game again.. I've always been a fan of drifting.. and always will be.

I agree. Great video, Chris. Ah man, I wanna know how to drive like that :(They probably use the uber 360 driving wheel setup, though :p Haha, I doubt it. The wheel is locked to ~185 degrees...NOT good for drifting.
The Teej
Really? That's quite surprising, I haven't heard of that before. Wonder why they would do that?
rajputwarrior
I really need to find that game again.. I've always been a fan of drifting.. and always will be. have you played grid, of all the racing games, that is my favourite drifting one.. Razorwing
have you played grid, of all the racing games, that is my favourite drifting one.. I've played the Demo. But I like Forza because the ability to tune parts is amazing, and a ton of cars. I personally like street/show drifting, not rally.

Sethos
GRID is still an arcade racer with beyond boring arcade handling - Forza on the other hand has a very realistic handling and therefore pulling off a drift is so much more satisfying, specially mastering it. Any idiot can master drifting in GRID or any arcade game for that matter.
The Teej
I didn't like GRID, it seemed to take the worst parts of arcade racing (no real skill involved) and simulation racing (harder to control).

tuckeratlarge
Awesome Played Forza yesterday with the Xbox Wheel, jeez my arms were killing me, that force feedback is great.
IceBreakerG
I just watched this video not too long ago, and I gotta admit, it was pretty slick. I drift a lot in Forza 2, but nothing like what those guys are doing.

tuckeratlarge
OK stupid question of the day, how do you set the cars up for drifting?
IceBreakerG
For one, start off with a car that's RWD and make sure you're using a manual transmission. Also, your tire selection helps too, picking tires that aren't "too" sticky (otherwise they won't slide enough). You also don't want "too much" down force in the back, because again, that will make the car stick to the track more when you want to slide.
