fineliner
I was suprised, that on all the other sites, which take part in the HP & Co. Giveaway, that they wouldnt split the prices, the way Neowin did. Now on "Techie Diva" i read: We wish we could divide the bundle and have several winners instead, but we can’t. Are they lying? Did Neowin get a special deal? Or what is the deal here? Just curious
Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted December 6, 2008 Global Moderator Share Posted December 6, 2008 My understanding is that Neowin actually asked if they could. Those other sites could of just assumed it was to be all one prize
sundayx Veteran Posted December 6, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 6, 2008 So the other sites are giving away all those products as 1 prize? Lucky winners!
dead.cell
It'd be absolutely retarded if you didn't split up the bundle. I mean, why the hell would someone want to win 3 laptops? I think they had the option of giving away that really cool Touchsmart PC or the bundle of many prizes. Choosing the bundle seems to be a very nice idea so that there are more winners than just one person; a great way of giving for the holidays. gigapixels Veteran Posted December 7, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 7, 2008 I can confirm that we did in fact ask and were told that we are allowed to split the bundle. All the information we received at first made it seem like it wasn't allowed, so perhaps all the other websites assumed it be so.
fineliner
I assumed that was the case. Neowin is ,like always, something special :-) THX for clearing that up.
Wannes
Than that's a big mistake from HP's end. I'd happy enough winning 1 laptop, I really don't need 3. :/
