GameOverRob
Dear God, ?COD: World at War? on veteran is making me want to kill someone; it is quite frankly the most ridiculous pile of crap alive! I mean come on which idiot devised the unlimited stream of enemies unless you rush forward to the next checkpoint; yes before you say anything I know that it is like this for all ?COD? games as I have played them all and finished them all on veteran. But in ?World at War? they have just made it even more crazy and it is just a grenade fest I mean I love it how every 10 seconds or so you seem to have 3 or 4 grenades endless thrown at you. Please don?t get me started on the stupid checkpoint save system as well! I mean why on earth would you have to press start and go to ?save and quit? for it to register your checkpoint saved progress! As I wonderfully found out after booting up the game to play the following day and having to start right at the beginning of the mission again when I was right at the end of the mission before hand! neoadorable
robpears the veteran setting for this one is indeed ludicrous - don't even bother. but the save system works fine on the 360, not like what you describe. anyway, like i said - i'm not good enough nor patience enough to take on that particular challenge. Neztea
Only game I don't have yet and waiting on for xmas is Guitar Hero World Tour. Everything else I've already bought!Nice list (except COD5 & BIA) IN MY OPINION!!1!* *added because some people still can't accept it's my opinion! What are you gonna play first? :p I'm a sucker for War games. Plus I got BIA for only 28 bucks new from amazon.ca ;) I think the first game I'm gonna start playing is probably Gears2. Been a fan of the first one and I thought why not give it a go, then left 4 dead, then fallout 3 (the most time consuming game I'm hoping ;) ) Also going to throw in there Mirror's Edge. Loved the demo and its a good concept of a game :) That's one big HOLE your in, now think of the poor and those who cant even afford to heat their home this Christmas? Or even those who have never seen a proper 'meal'. Yup, real BIG hole your in ain't ya? Enjoy your games. S. Uh. Ok... I would like to say that this hole only exists in theory, not in practice, in which I am actually not in a hole with nothing but games in it. Also, I would like to say that this is not a thread in which I am bashing people who are less fortunate than I am and in a dire and desperate situation. This Christmas I have donated food to the food bank, given money to charities of various organizations (In Poland and to Ukrainian charities helping orphanages.... they really do need the money), and have volunteered hours into helping the needy, cause I'm that nice of a guy to be generous to one another. It sickens me that you have the nerve to call me out that I don't think of the less fortunate. I was raised in a family where my parents had to escape from a communist country (Poland) in which they had nothing titled to their name (which actually after WWII, all of my families belongings were taken away!). They had nothing, and nothing was theirs because the government basically owned everything. The fled to Canada on temporary passports and never returned to the country that they cherished and loved because if they were to return they would face a harsh sentence.(of course that changed when democracy flourished after the wall fell down.) But of course you would never know since you live in a country that had never had a rule of communism. (Mind you, I was born and raised in Canada, but the stories my parents tell me are amazing in which a government like that could function for over 40 years!) So yeah, you come into the forum and try to flame-bait and troll around acting like your the s***. But that comment that you made was just wrong. That and it feels so much like a personal attack on me. I'm a good guy, I play games and I love video games. I purchase them and not pirate them (help the developers) and I help people. So what If I purchase a few games and talk to people about the games they have to hold them over for the holidays, I still care bout those who are not able to purchase games of this magnitude. I also like to play games to help ease the fact that right now in during clinical rounds (at a pulmonalogy institute) people there have inoperable lung cancers and are doomed to the fate of death within a few short months. So yeah, thats what I have to say. So what kind of games are going to hold you over the Christmas holidays if you don't mind me asking? maybe got you beat heh heh.all bought with my own hard earned money + a bit of the dough the banks managed to dupe everyone's favorite uncle into forking over: Far Cry 2 Gears 2 Fallout 3 COD: WaW Mirror's Edge Dead Space Fable 2 Red Alert 3 FIFA09 Fracture and reeally craving Left 4 Dead even tho not a fan of zombie games nor of story-less shooters. hmmm. Yeah, that looks like a pretty down and set list you got there. Though, Not a fan of the sports games and I think i"ll leave the RTSgames on the PC. But overall that list is hot. Also, left 4 dead I've heard is really good for co-op play :) Neztea
Master Ryu
I've bought: Wrath of the Lich King Warhammer Online Vanguard: Saga of Heroes Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo: HD Remix NBA 2K9 Will try: Lord of the Rings Online. Lol, yeah, I'm in the quest to find the right MMORPG for me. I'm really lazy to play games nowadays especially ones that require me to sit through and solve puzzles or fight epic battles. I like to just get in and start doing things. I think the MMORPGs, NBA 2K9, and Street Fighter allow me to do that. EDIT: Oops, didn't notice this is in the Microsoft forum. Well in that case, nothing MS.

Interesting List though :) Neztea
Master Ryu
Lol...I guess NBA 2K9 is also on the 360. My 360 just go RROD'd it looks like. I have to send it in. I've been pretty lazy to do that. I know i'm wasting valuable Live time..heh. So pretty much, I'm gaming on PC and PS3. I think the game I want most from this holiday season is Mirror's Edge. Played the demo, and I thought it was nothing I've ever experienced. I will buy Left 4 Dead on the PC (just built one) from Amazon, as I hear it's $30. peacemf
Nothing on the 360, there just isn't anything that interests me that much at the moment. Been busy with Mass Effect though, awesome game can't wait for the sequel (Y)Although slightly off topic I did get Mirror's Edge (PS3) and Tomb Raider: Underworld (PC) and I absolutely love them :D  oooo another person with a similar opinion as me :D is mirror's edge any good? is it casual or hardcore in terms of game play

CelticWhisper
Well, Persona 4 was released today but as I've been knocked on my ass by a norovirus infection (winter vomiting disease) I'm going to have to go grab it tomorrow or Thursday. Aside from that, I'm playing through God Hand, Need for Speed Underground (never got into racing games before, but this one seems decent), and Devil Summoner.
