Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted December 9, 2008 Global Moderator Share Posted December 9, 2008 I was trying to play a match with some buddies on CoD:World At War, and no games will launch, and no stats are available under leaderboards. This happened before, and the game was offline for hours, just wondering if this was an xbox live issue, or COD server problem

Simon Veteran Posted December 9, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 9, 2008 Nothing there = service working Still, what kind of logic is that? Just bad website design. Never put a user on a blank page, at least explain why it's blank. Someone viewing that page wants to know if it's working or if it's not. This wouldn't lead anyone to believe either way, and more likely they'll think it's down.

Don't be lame. You don't have to venture in these threads if you don't want to. This forum is very active, and more often than not, people respond much quicker than the page is updated. +BeLGaRaTh Subscriber¹ Posted December 10, 2008 Subscriber¹ Share Posted December 10, 2008 Its been down for me since early this morning, the d!cks at MS even got me to format my drive saying it sounded corrupt. Needless to say it wasn't the drive and then he proceeded to blame my network configuration, when I had the cable modem connected direct to the 360. So now I have lost all of my saves/downloaded content as well as having an incredibly slow live experience :(

Well excuse me for offering a link to the official Live status page, I was such a fool for thinking it may be helpful. In the future I'll run all my helpful posts by you first to ensure they pass your rigorous standards of non-lameness.

Pro tip to everyone: If Live is acting weird for no apparent reason (i.e. you haven't changed your net setup), it's probably something on their end, and the people that work with the XBL hardware probably know about it. Just be patient. -Spenser

+BeLGaRaTh Subscriber¹ Posted December 10, 2008 Subscriber¹ Share Posted December 10, 2008 Well I didn't want to, but the blirts at MS were saying there was no issues and that the HD sounded faulty after doing some tests (clear cache etc). They advised they would not help further unless I did as they requested :/ The issues I was/am getting is incredibly slow updates of marketplace items, taking between 5 and 25mins to load details of items etc :(

Like I said, sometimes they don't update the page quickly enough. As of the time you posted the link, the page still wasn't updated like someone screen captured.
