Skulltrail
I have officially finished my volunteer work this year, and after much hard work, I managed to conceive $50 in "tips." What game should I get? I'm looking for a game that is long, preferably multiplayer and hard to get bored of. I'm really into both RPG and FPS games so I'm not picky. So far I've been looking into: Left 4 Dead Call of Duty 4 Call of Duty 5 Oblivion The Orange Box Since I have an Arcade version of the Xbox 360, I was thinking of saving the $50 until I can afford the Starter Pack. What do you guys think?
gamerboy
what about gears of war 2? CoD4 was good for multiplayer but idk how many people play that anymore. Orange Box is also pretty fun haven't finished it yet so I don't know how long it is.

(all things I can get used to) CoD5 seems really good. I played the PC demo which was IMO pretty hard. (specifically because my computer lacks modern gaming pleasure)
Massiveterra
get a hard drive or xbox live if you don't have that already
Djpyes
You should get Fable 2. The first one was nothing special but I found 2 to be great. I didn't expect much but there is so much to do in the game.
Boffa Jones Veteran Posted December 10, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 10, 2008 I spent 70 hours on Oblivion. If amount of time you will play the game factors in... keep that in mind.

Matrix XII
If you want to get the most for your money then I'd recommend the Orange Box. I've got plenty of hours spent between all those games, and if you haven't played Portal, it's a lot of fun.
Skulltrail
You should get Fable 2. The first one was nothing special but I found 2 to be great. I didn't expect much but there is so much to do in the game. I have Fable 2. It's really good. I'm not sure how long it is, so I'm trying to do all the quests I can before going with the main story quests. I spent 70 hours on Oblivion. If amount of time you will play the game factors in... keep that in mind. Wow. Oblivion has always seemed like an extremely long game, which is one of its greatest pros. I'll see if I can get it. If you want to get the most for your money then I'd recommend the Orange Box.I've got plenty of hours spent between all those games, and if you haven't played Portal, it's a lot of fun. I found a copy of the Orange Box at Walmart for about $15. I'll get that too. HOWEVER! I have decided to save this money in order to get a starter pack. After getting the mic, 60GB HDD, XBL card, etc, I'll save up for Oblivion, Call of Duty 5 and the Orange Box. Thanks guys.

neoadorable
Fallout 3, Fable 2, The Orange Box. Yeah the first two are sequels technically, but they have nothing to do with the originals from a practical perspective, and they're both awesome. Matrix XII
I'd get Fallout 3 instead of Oblivion, unless it's a platinum hit now, which it might be...
Jeremy Kyle
Left 4 Dead 100%. Superb multiplayer game.
Boffa Jones Veteran Posted December 13, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 13, 2008 Left 4 Dead 100%. Superb multiplayer game. I wonder how much replayability it will have though? I have heard that it is tragically short.
Smigit
Given your other games listed are FPS maybe Fallout would be a good choice over Oblivion? I'm really enjoying it on PC but keep in mind it's an RPG first and shooter second. Like Mass Effect combat is very much stat based not skill based. On that note Mass Effects worth a shot. Of the ones you listed but I'd go orange box. Only reason I listed that above COD was that I personally can't get into that series in that much of a big way although I'm happy to conceed they are games that appeal to a huge number of people. The Hard Drive sounds like a good option too.
Smigit
Actually another FPS worth considering if you don't have it is Battlefield Bad Company. I had alot of fun with that one.
