ozgeek
I have just had Xbox Live for a month and I yet can't understand why Halo 3 is very slow at loading multilayer. In Halo CE, A list of matches comes up and I select one and I'm in in less than 5 seconds with the plus of selecting a map I actually want to play in. But in Halo 3, it takes like 10 minutes to load a "5 minute" match. How do Halo 3 multilayer work and why is this an advantage over HCE's multilayer? It just keeps searching and then "Restarting search" like 3 times before it actually finds a match I don't want to play. There are even some maps I haven't even got a chance to play yet! And why is it that almost everytime I get into match about 2 or 3 people leave, leaving me with a small team against an unfair number of enemies. Matches that are like this should not count towards ranking. People who leave should be punished more than just losing an XP point, maybe a depromtion of rank. gamerboy
That's matchmaking at its finest. It puts you with similarly ranked opponents so if it can't find any it just keeps searching. If Halo 3 upsets you with matchmaking don't even bother with GoW2 then.
bangbang023 Veteran Posted December 11, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 11, 2008 You're also playing in Australia. I'm going to assume most of the people still playing Halo are from the UK or North America, so it's probably also struggling to find you a game with a decent ping.
