Does anyone want hosting ?

Question

Well as some of you may know, I own a small hosting company. Up until now we just design & host friends personal sites and for local businesses, but we've got some free server space, and are now accepting internet clients. I don't have time to do any design right now, so I'm just selling hosting. We offer everything you need like PHP, MySQL, Sendmail (other email servers can be installed if you choose), Frontpage Extesions (like anyone uses them :)), and can install PHP-Nuke, Invision Board/Chat, PHPBB, and any other script you choose for you, usually up and running within 12-24 hours of your initial request. You also get the benefit of my many years experience with both Windows and Linux servers, and PHP, ASP, SQL, C/C++, HTML, and .NET languages to help you install, use, and debug your site/and scripts you need to run it.

Features : We do not cap/meter bandwidth - because of the type of clients we host, and our server/connection setup this is not needed/wanted.

*You can get as much or as little disk space as you want, depending on the plan you select.

*PHP, Apache, MySQL preinstalled and configured. There is no limit on the number of MySQL databases (within reason - e.g. one person cannot use 1000s of them (most scripts only require 1))

*Up to 500 email accounts, again depending on plan you select

*Monthly, Weekly, or even daily backup services are available on all plans for an additional fee.

*Plans can be configured to meet your specific needs, PM or email me for more informaiton.

*Pricing starts at $10/month (less if prepaid)

*Dedicated servers available, again can be custom configured for as little as $350/year

Restrictions/Terms :

We do not host sites with adult content .

you may not host files that are extremely large (in opinion of staff, usually larger than 50mb or so)

Clean images galleries are acceptable, sites with flash and image intensive ones (like you guys like to create :)) are allowed.

discussion forums and other scripts are allowed, but any script that slows down the server noticeably will be stopped (after owner is notified, of course) and you will have the oppertunity to

a)fix it

b) upgrade your plan

Email me at tytanic11@comcast.net for more info

I offer hosting similiar to yours, as well. http://www.leatechs.com

Small company, was local, now nationwide.

You can't even start to compare your packages to that of tytanic11's...stop trying to take the limelight away from other people...you could have made your own thread at least....

and with regards to the prices, they were old, supposed to be slightly cheaper. but even at those prices, they werent bad. wtf are you talking about? jesus christ people are cheap.

nationwide, yeah. believe it or not, some people out there *actually* have $5/month just laying around the house. not everyone lives in the projects, and not everyone pays their hosting bills with their allowance. :-D

mine is better and cheape:D:D

http://www.Pyroshells.com

you charge more a month ($400) for a dedicated server then I do for a year ($350) for one of comperable specs:p:p

0WNED!:woot:t: lol, i may consider this;);)

Just to make it clear to everyone, here's the specs of the (low end - $350/year) quoted dedicated server -

AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (1.6ghz) (upgradeable)

256mb DDR (PC2100) (can be upgraded to 3 gb)

40gb Hard Drive (can be upgraded to 200+ gb)

Standard 10/100 NIC

Motherboard has 6 PCI and 1 AGP slot (more nics can be added, and any other cards as needed)

If you're looking for a P4 server config, or any other above mentioned upgrades, PM or email for pricing.

This config is subject to change depending on our supplier's prices and inventory. However, if our supplier runs out of something, we will buy it from someone else - even at a higher cost, but will not change server prcing unless specs change.

I'm interested as well, as long as it's free. I've been trying to host my own site, and it hasn't been working out very good. So I'll take you up on your offer.

To people complaining and telling people to "start your own thread," I say, read the topic. "Does anyone want hosting?" If people wanted hosting, I'm sure they wouldn't mind looking and a bunch of options in one place instead of having to scour the forums for all of the different available options.

Our hosting plans are similar to his, except we do not have any Unix servers (yet.) If you're looking for a Windows server to host your files, though, I can give you about the same spiel as tytanic11

We don't have time to do any design right now, so we just sell hosting.

*Daily backups are included.

I apologize for the direct copy and paste, but it's all pretty standard stuff... =)
