andy2004 Posted December 11, 2008 Share Posted December 11, 2008 Hey guys im in at the deep end here and in total unfamiliar territory I have a system thats been handed to me running ubuntu 8.04.1 and all it has is a black screen with the words tty1 and sws what i need to do is check what the current ip of the system is 9make sure its connected to the network) and also configure users to publish websites. White Cuban Posted December 14, 2008 Share Posted December 14, 2008 if your using UBUNTU, and not ubuntu server, i suggest you halt now, and rethink for a second. if you are using server, i would reccomend you not too, from my familiarity, it's a bag of unorginized bloat, i would suggest *BSD. they're best in my opinion for Webserver's (or Dedicated Servers, too) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
