Oh yay!

I would say semi light usage on a close to launch day 360 (build date 12/4/05) and it's first trip to the repair center. Unit has been locking up (audio and video with jaggies a few minutes after startup) and had a couple RRODs.

What will they actually be doing to the unit? Replacing the mainboard/CPUs or just actions to keep the unit cooler and more efficient (ie applying thermal paste to heat sync, etc)??

They will most likely do something similar to the x-clamp fix you may have seen around the net. It really depends on console to console, I have one RROD and they just repaired it and sent back the same console. Second time I had a dvd drive issue and they just sent me a whole other console. Now I just bought a 360 a week ago off ebay for $50 that was having the issue you have and I did the xclamp fix and presto a perfectly working 360 :D
