guaterickie
Hey everyone i want to get a gaming laptop. I am going to be buying this laptop off of a power seller, paypal verified on EBAY. Let me start by saying this. I want a NICE laptop but the only thing that i will be using it for is mainly playing World of Warcraft. I want something that can run it at the highest settings on a pretty good resolution. I can afford to go to say medium settings on it. I will be buying off of Ebay and i dont want to spend more than $900 which is exactly why i am buying off of ebay... So with that...Any Suggestions? Thanks

guaterickie
Even for just WoW? I'm asking you guys if you have an idea of what kind of laptop to get. Here is my criteria: Has to be a Core 2 Duo Has to have more than 2 gigs of RAM NO integrated graphics. something like an NVidia 8600GT would do 17" display (i could do 15.4" i suppose) EDIT: I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AROUND, WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THE DELL STUDIO 17? 3 GIGS RAM ATI RADEON IS KINDA BAD (I DONT LIKE ATI) BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT LOOKS GOOD. IDEAS? Edited December 15, 2008 by guaterickie
I am Redbeard
Looks like your keyboard is broken too, I had a dell inspiron 600m with integrated ATI graphics, 15'' ran WoW perfectly.

alphaomegainfinity
Go for the HP Pavilion dv5t. It comes with 512 MB GDDR2 9600M GT which is equivalent to the 8600M GT GDDR3 of Dell XPS 1530. Plus it runs cooler than the Dell and comes with Montevina processors.
Nauttika
If you can, get a laptop with WUXGA (1920x1200) display. It seems high, but it makes a huge difference in the detail of WoW. (I use to play it on my Dell inspiron). Good luck! :D
._.Andy._.
You wouldn't need much better than onboard graphics to play WOW, the 8600M is a decent all rounder thats still capable of playing modern games. I have one in my laptop.
DanManIt
WoW doesn't require much. HP makes some quality laptops

You would be surprised by the requirements of WoW at high settings, in built up cities on my 512meg 8600 I would be dropping to something like 20-25 FPS and in raids I have screenshots of dropping to 1-2FPS although I do believe there were issues with the game not working with the 8600 cards. Were quite a few posts about it when I was playing.
