TJenkins
Oh, trust me, there's good reasons. Here is a good starting point for further reading. Read here for further information on the victims. hahaha I stopped after reading "CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY!" I thought Neowin had a "don't be mean to "groups" rule? Sethos
No wonder why websites are filled to the brim with ads these days, people actually read them and take notice? Am i really the only one who can completely ignore them, it's not that difficult.

Think of those who suffered under communism with Stalin, Mao etc.
ATGC
they havent invaded another country in search of WMD, they didnt commit mass murder and act as a legit entity.. if NW blocks this one whats next, they will start blocking MS ads too? What's the connection between religious ads and technology related ads? Nothing. Your argument is flawed. Aw cmon. Christians have been attacked for doing the Crusades, but what about atheists? Think of those who suffered under communism with Stalin, Mao etc. Ah, the frivolous argument commonly used by the religious folk, as to show them being critical thinkers and all. Sorry, but no. Hitler and Stalin did not wager war in the name of atheism. Individual atheists may do evil things but they don?t do evil things in the name of atheism. Atheism doesn?t systematically influence people to do bad things. No evidence of that in the slightest.
Calum Veteran Posted December 20, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 20, 2008 To be honest a lot of religious beliefs are far-fetched, especially some Christian's beliefs or those Creationalists. I despise religion greatly, but I have to respect other people's beliefs because let's face it, has anybody got a solid idea of where we came from and how we were created? Joel
I'm not a fan of any organised religion or cult, and Scientology is no exception. What I don't get is, why everyone hates Scientology so much. Sure, it's beliefs are far-fetched, but more so than an omnipotent, omniscient being who created everything? Even more far fetched than a carpenter who was born to a virgin in the middle east who could perform miracles and be resurrected after he died? Even more far fetched than reincarnation? It's more about the fees involved with joining the "church". And the fact that you're told you can't see members of your family if they're deemed to be unbelievers. I know that it depends on google adv servers, but can something be done for that? Don't tell me it's fine to have scientology adv on the website please... Why not? What makes it more or less than anything else that's advertised? Closed
