PGR4 revisited

Recommended Posts

I also found that it's more fun if you turn off all the HUD elements :)

Yeah I do that as well, it doesn't really make the game harder for me, I think it just makes the game look even better

You really immerse yourself when they are turned off (Y)

does everyone here mostly run the game of disk, or do you have a "fix" for the annoying popping/crackling that occurs frequently in the engine sound when you run off the HDD

PGR, one of my favorite game series of all time, if not my most favorite. Got PGR 1 when I bought Xbox 1, loved that and PGR2 was excellent.

Hmmm, maybe I should start playing the game again - Really is one of the best arcade racers I have ever tried, so beautiful and the controls are perfect, also the feel of speed and precision are over the moon.

true to all sethos, it's a great game, if a bit challenging.

hawkman, no HDD install for me and very few instances of this sound issue you mentioned. it did occur a couple of times, i think it's specific to either certain cars or certain tracks. not a big deal either way.

Tried this last week - my friend bought his copy over as we're both new Xbox 360 owners. I was immediately blown away on just how good the visuals were compared to Forza 2... it looks fantastic. Think I'll try and pick it up as a cheap pre-owned title to challenge him over Live :)

I only recently got my 360 with a 5 game bundle. Im currently working my way through PGR4 and farcry2 (although farcry has kinda got me gripped atm). I've still got gears of war 1/2 in the wrappers :D

But PGR4's amazing.. i cant believe i was a Gran turismo fan and missed all the earlier instalments of the PGR series.

tried the endo and now know how to do it, but not how to get the achieve, but will keep at it.

and hawkman, it doesn't say in the chieve list which bike you need or that a certain one is needed at all.

Find a track with a VERY long straightaway and try to get to your top speed as quickly as possible. I'd say 150 MPH should be enough. As soon as you hit that, hit the brakes and push forward on your left stick. Make sure you are going in a straight line because it's hard to correct the bike once it's in the air.

I know, I just meant that there isn't that many bikes able to hold the endo properly for long enough.

And new York owns for straights :)
