The_Decryptor Veteran Posted February 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted February 17, 2009 Is keeping it asp.net a logical thing if you want it closer to neowin? Surely porting it over to php allows better intergration of both sites?... Well, it doesn't harm integration, if/when a common data interchange format is decided upon (e.g. JSON, XML, etc.) then it doesn't matter what the backends written in, if it can read and write the same format then it can work together fine. You can have PHP emit JSON and .NET read it in, then have .NET emit new JSON and have PHP read it back in.

Now you are speaking like a web developer. :) (Y) We'll get this backend communication working, when we get there. First, let's get users believing they are still working with an affiliated Neowin website, the rest is just pancakes and sausage. :)
Yusuf M. Veteran Posted March 3, 2009 Veteran Share Posted March 3, 2009 Ah, I remember when NeoRequest was born. I made a couple of requests and I was darn happy with the results. Let's inject some life back into her!
