Hooking Up 360 to X-530 Logitech Speakers

Recommended Posts

My Laptop (Apple Macbook) is hooked up to the Logitech X-530 speakers through the "creative sound blaster external", I had to use the sound blaster as my laptop doesn't have the three ports of green black and pink for the speakers so the sound blaster connects to my mac through a usb. Im just wondering how the hell can I connect these speakers to my xbox 360 so i can get surround sound gaming!! Im so confused to be honest and just wondering if some people could help me, any answers greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the information, I believe I didn't get one with mine, or that i might've mis-placed it, can you tell me where to buy one of these from? So the 2 leads as shown on the picture from the xbox 360, are they 2 of the three which are ment to go into your tv? and the 3 leads on the right, i dont have a yellow one, its more of a pink one, will that work even so?

Many thanks,

I got one with mine but you should be able to find them at a electronics store. Yes the 2 on the left are the 2 of 3 which you can plug into your tv. Also the colors on the right don't matter (with this adapter) as it is color coded for your particular set of X-530's. If you buy the adapter from somewhere else you just have to make sure the three on the right are in the correct order.

EDIT: For you the pink on the right would go in the same spot as the yellow :)

thats great I will go hunting for it!! I have another problem, the distance from the three leads to plug into from surround, is really far away from the 2 leads to plug in from the xbox, like the other side of my room lol, any suggestions on how to extend this thing? should i extend the leads from the xbox, or the ones from my surround sound? if so how.

Well you could extend either. I suggest you buy extension cables for the 360 cables as you only need 2 not 3 which should be cheaper :)

and you should note that you'll be only getting polyphony and not true Dolby Digital surround (positional audio and separated subwoofer/central channel audio)
