Xerino
There were dual core Pentium 4 that even predate the e2xxx chips, they were called Pentium D. Basically two Netburst P4's stuck on one die.Anyway, yeah TC the 7300 is pretty crappy, it was an entry level card three generations or so ago, you won't be playing anything new with it unless you like slide shows with alll of the detail turned down. Let us know your budget and we can recommend your best option. That CPU is what Im running, the Pentium D 820 (2.8ghz prescott core x2)
bob_c_b
I have an E5200 2.5ghz dual core, 2gigs of ram.I only played the first 30mins-1hour of the game, it got so boring. I don't usually take these type of "reviews" very seriously, you barely exited the tutorial/how to play area at that point.
BlackSteyrAug
imo: find a different card. It may be cheap, but you get what you pay for, really.
Pc_Madness
Make sure you have a 24pin power supply! I had a 20 pin and a 6600GT, and wanted to upgrade, but all Nvidia 8 series need a 24 pin, so I ended up just waiting it out till I built my new comp. ZonoBurk
The 9500GT 1GB is around $79.99 (I just got it on sale for $59.99) with a $10 rebate, at newegg It would be good enough for what you'll be using it for. EDIT: Nevermind, you already purchased the 9600GT. :)
Argote
Thanks for all the help guys! Just ordered myself a 9600GT should be here this week! :D Very nice man, You'll certainly be happy with that. For future reference (for you and anyone) here's a graphics card hierarchy chart which I have found to be most useful: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/Best-G...ard,2011-6.html
bobbytomorow
Good choice, the 9600GT is one of the best bang for buck cards. It destroys an 8600GT, it actually shares more in common with an 8800GT, its basically the same card with a few stream processors disabled. 9500GT is a revised 8600GT. Samn9
I don't usually take these type of "reviews" very seriously, you barely exited the tutorial/how to play area at that point. Fair enough. Just didn't feel like my type of game.
Neillithan
I would get nothing less than the Nvidia 9800 GT, preferably OC'd. Of course, there are better cards for your money but that's just my own personally established limit. Besides, the 7300... is just... ew. old.
