You mean like in the movies? Where they zoom into a picture without quality loss and where they can get details out of non-detailed pictures?

Sorry, but that is impossible.

I would be careful in what you say is impossible.

Well that thing they always do like in the movies is impossible. You just cannot get detail out of a picture when it isn't there.....

You can't zoom into a digital picture and expect to preserve all detail. Smart algorithms are able to do a decent job in enlarging pictures, but they 'make up' their own detail, which is not accurate.

I know a lot is possible, but like in the movies..... no....

actually it can be done if you have a live video feed with digital video camera cabalbe of a digital zoom.... with one of these types of cameras you can zoom up to 90x from a remote computer when viewing throught the feed over the internet.... (i.e. security cammera)

hope I helped...

Tell me if you need any more information.

OK changing it a little. Say i took a pic of the sky at night or found a pic that had a UFO on it. How could i enhance it to tell wether the UFO was placed on and a good job was done merging it in or whether it was real?

sounds like a threat

It was not meant as any type of threat or insult. It is just that once you say something is impossible, you know for sure it will be possible next week, and the week after that - common place.

Things are never impossible - you may not know how to do it, but that does not make it impossible.

Couple of examples, flying - at one point that was deemed impossible. Walking on the moon, never be done they said. Look at the speed of your computer - man at one point or another, every major jump in speed was over the limit, couldn't be done - etc..

Maybe I am an just an optimist, but when it comes down to it - all things are possible - in time ;)

Yes - I agree you can not get detail from where there is none. But that does not mean you can not fill in the gaps with what is most likely damn close to what was truely there. I would have to admit, it is highly unlikely that you can do it how it is done in the movies - point and click zoom in 1000x with no loss of quality, etc.. etc.. But again, I would not use the word impossible - since you can do alot of enhancement of no so good photos, and make them look clear as day.
