Fuzzymath
I was wondering, if I got a second wireless controller with one of those texting pads that Microsoft has out, would I be able to use it in conjunction with my main controller? The reason I ask is simple, that damn texting thing looks as if it'll get in the way of my hands while playing a game, but I'd still like to have it at easy reach for when someone messages me on MSN. Being able to reach over, grab the second controller, text out a message, and go back to my main controller to play the game...it just seems like a good setup to me. Would this work? Smigit
I can't speak for everyone, but the chat pad doesn't get in the way at all. If anything I prefer it being there than not as it adds a nice bit of weight making the control feel a tad more "solid" in my hands. If I was you I'd just try it with it on first to see if it's even a problem.
ozgeek
Or you can use any computer keyboard with USB using the USB port at the front or back of the 360. It works excatly the same as the chatpads. I have a rolled up keyboard off ebay and it works perfect. Much cheaper than those chatpads which are nothing more than a basic keyboard in a small scale and shell. The Windows key on the keyboard will open the Guide screen lol. That is what I would do if I was you. Since you want it separate anyway. Some wireless keyboards work as well, so you might want to look into that
