well, first of all it does NOT impress me when "professionals" mispell words and use incorrect grammar multiple times in one sentence. So, correct grammar and spelling can impress...

Beyond that, all-Flash sites are generally bad. They do cool stuff and maybe look cool but they don't function well and aren't very user-friendly. Repetitive sound effects and really short sound/music loops are very annoying, so stay away from that. What would impress ME more than cool "effects" would be a use of a Flash site to augment usability and design. A Flash site that is more effectively BECAUSE it is done in Flash. There isn't much of that on the Web now.

yeah do flash, but like they were saying, do NOT overdo it. i normally use flash for a top or side navigation bar and that's pretty much it. use it to add to a site, not to make a site. do you get what i mean?

i prefer simple and clean, minimalistic, easy to read, easy to get around on, nice color scheme (not neon or black)...like Kol's site...nice and simple, gets the job done

I did not start to company .... just was there from the begging. People correct my grammer and neowin is a more friendly site what ever the word is for that so grammer does not really matter when asking questions if people know what they are talking about..

crimsonblur and citrus, just leave him alone. nobody has to be perfect with their grammar or spelling. i mean look at me... i can't stand it when people use bad grammar or spelling yet i really don't care when i'm typing on a message board. there's a difference between being friendly in an online community and being professional to your customers

As long as Flash is used appropriately, I have no issues. But just don't put those huge flash intros that require users to wait forever. :)
