dreamz Veteran Posted January 8, 2009 Veteran Share Posted January 8, 2009 you can use a program like iconphile to do this. (you can also check out icontweaker and iconpackager, but i'm not sure if they'll do this.) or you can reshack shell32.dll. moved here
Veckin
Just ResHack shell32.dll. You can change almost all of the icons. However, 'My Documents' and 'My pictures' don't change, and also 'My computer' is in explorer.exe.
R1pper
Just ResHack shell32.dll. You can change almost all of the icons. However, 'My Documents' and 'My pictures' don't change, and also 'My computer' is in explorer.exe. beside that, is there anything safer? iv'e tried it just once, and my windows became, emm, let's say messed-up. i mean, for thousand of years XP is on the market, and u can find Utility's for all sort of tweaks and miscellaneous uses, so there is nothing else that can replace 1 icon, which is a defualt one for all the folders, with few clicks? i'm waiting for a final reply's, if il get no answer, il go for the second round with hacked shell32.dll. :( thanks.
