DrunknMunky Veteran Posted January 9, 2009 Veteran Share Posted January 9, 2009 by Dustin Burg Ninja-spotted over on the official Game Developers Conference (GDC) website is a listing for one of the production track session that sorta spills the beans on what Bioware has up their sleeves for GDC. Hosted by Biowares's own Dusty Everman and Project Manager Corey Andruko will be the session "The Iterative Level Design Process of Bioware's MASS EFFECT 2." We don't believe that to be a typo, we think they really mean Mass Effect 2. According to the description, the session will focus on the "Mass Effect team's new level-creation process" where attendees will "gain insight into some of the major issues the development team encountered while building Mass Effect at BioWare." Sounds pretty legit. You can bet Mass Effect 2 will be talked about, shown or completely revealed at this year's GDC. Source: X3F
+Mystic MVC Posted January 9, 2009 MVC Share Posted January 9, 2009 The first one was great and demonstrated the possibility for a really great new IP. Really filled that SW: KOTOR3 gap that I'd be graving for.

+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 9, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted January 9, 2009 Good news, just ditch elevators and spend more time on fewer but more enjoyable big important quests than having hundreds of the planet filler crap (Y)
Smigit
Good news, just ditch elevators and spend more time on fewer but more enjoyable big important quests than having hundreds of the planet filler crap (Y) Agreed on the elevator stuff. I'd like alot more sidequest but. And yeah more quests that actually give you incentive to go to other planets. I'd also like it I guess if possible to be able to finish quest at any time. I got caught off guard when I went too far into the plot and couldn't go back for the side quest.
PiracyX
Just give me the god damn BioWare! Loved Mass Effect and will certainly be buying for sure when the sequel comes. (Hopefully this year)

MillionVoltss
I finished it for the first time last night. Awesome game, its been a long time since ive felt involved in a game inc fable. First run took 26 hours ( OMG where did it go), i thought id checked out most of the game and went onto main quest to catch up and BOOM finished the game and was gutted i couldnt finish planets i hadn't been too or the sub poits. I loved the music style and the cinema grainy style on all the game as it added a nice effect. I felt bad when i realised about the keepers and the people in the pods having to be sacrificed, and hope the next game we can use the citidal to go to deep space. Will play it again from a save with the addon pack and intend on doing 100% of the game and leave the main plot till last, not sure which abilities to use next, i had alex and C-Sec Agent Garrus Vakarian and never evern had a conversation with Wrex before he left. My only compliant is the lifts as people have said, as sometimes these where a tedious necessity, i enjoyed the buggy and exploring the planets and the handling wasn't a problem as ive read else where and there are tings which never show on the maps which you can find, Icons on maps show important people are things needed for plot so no worry about missing anything. Top game looking forward to the 2nd installment, if you've not try'd it http://www.amazon.co.uk/Electronic-Arts-Ma...4808&sr=8-1 btw the way i dont normally play this sorta game so im not a rpg fan ( more reason to try it ) .
