Minifig
I don't think anyone on this forum still plays it. I know I left it after ... 4 months of playing.
+longgonebn Subscriber² Posted January 13, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted January 13, 2009 I still play it, and deals go on all the time, you can probably get the $9.99 rate. It all depends.
Hupp
I honestly wonder how many people still play lotro sometimes. Either no one plays on firefoot or im just that far back anymore... I remember first logging in and there being hundreds of people in the towns, now its great if i see 15-20.
D. S. Veteran Posted January 13, 2009 Veteran Share Posted January 13, 2009 It will eventually fade away like the rest of them. Just look at Age of Conan. WOW is unstoppable. Too much momentum. And when Diablo III and Starcraft II launch, Blizzard will be sitting on a pile of money so high that they can develop it even more.

It's the only MMO to still go strong through the years. Not as many subscribers as WoW, but it's a respectable amount.

If the user base is big enough that Square-Enix can make a profit, good for them but I don't really see how can they expand it against the dominance of WOW so it will eventually fade away.
