Konstanov
The original Call of Duty score is pretty epic, and Splinter Cel for the awesome ambient music those games have spawned.
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 21, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted January 21, 2009 Playing through Persona 3 right now and it has some funky tunes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIn7yWzwCeo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MCExpXou3k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9E3VR8Fnj0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUlUcSZvK2E http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7ZLA5FX_v0 But, I'd probably have to go with FF or MGS for nostalgia. Both series have some awesome songs.

Cheshire Cat
I always liked the music in the Wipeout games  For proper cinematic, atmospheric music though I'd say stuff like the Call of Duty games, The Thief games... And of course the best ever is Portal's end song :D
Kravex
World of Goo has some good music and the soundtrack is free from 2Dboy's site
Prince Charming
Halo 3, but my personal nomination would have to go to the Homeworld series. The music was different, extremely fitting and excellent. Gave a unique and brilliant feel to the game(s) that just worked.

Unto Darkness
Halo 3 definitely has one of the best soundtracks. Marty O' Donnell is a genius! Starcraft also has a pretty good soundtrack. If I am not wrong, I think they were one of the first to include high-quality music into games. Love the Terran ones.
Wazooty
I loved the halo 3 music too, but imo the music outdid the actual story in terms of epicness and so on. The story was a bit of a disappointment.
spacer
HL2 (including the episodes) has some pretty good music. It doesn't play often, but when it definitely makes the cut. Mass Effect has some great background music. The set piece theme music as well as the random battle music are all top notch. MGS3 has one of, in not the best, theme song for any video game ever. The James Bond-esk theme song is classic. And of course...Audiosurf. :p
ScorpioRGc1
Doom & Doom II, Half-Life, KotOR, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (for VROCK alone :D), Mega Man 1-3, Final Fantasy VI, X, & XII, Dragon Quest VIII, The Legend of Zelda series (particularly LttP, OoT, and TP), Super Metroid, Mass Effect, and definitely a few more I'm forgetting; my recollection of my old console games is a bit hazy. lol But those I listed are all ones I've always liked that come to mind quickly.
