Gold, but not solid gold Xbox 360s. These consoles still play Resident Evil 5, but you can?t buy one on eBay yet. Microsoft is giving these away as prizes for a Lunar New Year promotion. To get a chance at winning one you have to buy a brand new Xbox 360 with a 60GB hard drive or an Xbox 360 Elite between January 15 to February 15 . Sorry, Xbox 360 Arcade purchasers Microsoft only wants big spenders in this contest.

After that you need to write an essay and explain why you love your Xbox. Oh, and this is the most important part, you have to live in Hong Kong. It?s the only region I?ve seen Microsoft offer this contest in, which means whoever wins a gold Xbox 360 will have a real collector?s item in their hands.

Cool for collectors, horrible colour though.

I think it's more yucky looking than my Halo 360 :p

Hawt. I wouldn't mind playing on a gold xbox360 while sawing someone in half with a gold lancer ;)

Neztea

I absolutely hated those Gold lancers and Hammerburst :x

Wish Europe got some competitions like this though. Never seem to get any :(

Thats retarded. why would you have to buy one to get one for free. Ha. Who the hell needs two of them?

A spare for when your other is being sent off for repairs? Tell me its not likely.....

Definitely (Y) I still have the original Crystal Xbox as well as the standard dark green (;))

I have a crystal xbox too :p

Haven't you seen the ''crystal'' cases for the 360, makes it look disgusting imo.

Gotta find it funny how you can see what games inside without it even being swtiched on :p

The top lid on the DVD drive has also been removed ;)

I've seen some neat mods with the DVD drive lid, one which had a halo 3 logo carved into it, damn that was amazing.

Yes, cause history proves otherwise

The failure rate for the poorly manufactured consoles was something around 33%. It's high, but it's less than half, so by nature it's unlikely. Consoles purchased in the last year and a half or so aren't plagued by these issues like the earlier ones were.

Well it all depends if you have a 3 year old console or a newer model

Mine is about 3 years and two weeks old and has never RROD'd.
