Photoshop 7 Help


Question

Hey guys,

I have a jpg of the MS XP flag and i wanted to kno if theres a way in Photoshop that i can select one of the colors and have it replaced with another, keeping the gradient effect if possible.

use magic wand tool

magic wand won't keep the gradient

best thing to do is select the color area and change the hue. that's really the only way to keep the gradient, unless you make one yourself

use the magic wand and click the color area you want...if it's a gradient it's not going to select it all at once so you're going to have to hold down the shift key then click to make more than 1 selection. then go into the hue/saturation and change it

and that was how i make this longhorn logo and i think it's a good one. i used magic wand tool to choose the colour areas then i use use gradient overlay and then messed around. use hue and saturatoin and colour balance

image>adjustments>selective colour and or replace colour

i'd suggest to use Layer > New adjustment layer > Hue/Saturation or Colour balance so you can change it to other colour/s in the future
