Is this normal on LOTR: Coquest?

Recommended Posts

Okay, so I just picked the game up from Blockbuster today as my friends have been playing non-stop online this weekend and went to play a bit of single player in the early hours of this morning and the graphics are REALLY pixelated during certain parts of the first level.

Here's a couple of examples (note only the rain and explosions are ****ed up):

So yeah, wtf? Haven't gotten onto the next level yet as I gave up when I saw it (last time graphics messed up on a game I got a RROD 2 minutes later, however this is a brand new console).

Has anyone else experienced this? :/

Probably just a buggy game, reviews are slating it.

But I'd put another graphics intensive game in like GoW2 and play through it for a good 30mins-1hour and see if everything is okay.

Also is LOTR installed to your hard drive or not?

I was seeing if anyone else had the issue to confirm that it is a bug. I played WaW for a good 3 hours since playing LOTR: Conquest and nothing came up weirdly... :/

So updates Brad?

I think you should trying installing it to your hard drive.

It might be a faulty disc that's struggling to load/stream textures in time/at all.

Or else the games just trying to tell you "Don't play me!" :p

I installed drive and played offline for a while. Still had the issues. Rang Blockbusters and I'm going to switch it for a different game :p

What a mess :/

for some reason this thread made me want to reply with an "is it safe?".

as for you brad, may this be the extent of the problems in your life, my friend - just get them to change the disc. if it's not happening in other games forget it, no problem.

After reading this thread, I had to try the game..I do not see any problems at all...And I didn't install it.

For anyone that is interested in knowing what this is like...Think of it as maybe dynasty warriors or unreal tournament with some mix of games rules in LOTR universe.

Big negative is that the game can be done in 4 to 5 hours, playing both good and bad sides. Playing as witch king or nagzul was pretty cool

For the record I loved what I played of it, very dynasty warriors-like :D
